MISSION
STATEMENT...Through its programs and
practices, Gymnastics Unlimited seeks to instill in every
child a sense of self-awareness, confidence, self-discipline,
poise, self-respect, and respect for others that will extend
to activities far beyond the gymnasium. We believe that the
values derived from meaningful physical activity, cooperation,
and competition afford children an opportunity to grow and
develop into healthy and happy individuals
in our society. To this end, students are grouped into
small classes by age and skill level. With a student-teacher
ratio of 8:1 children receive individual attention and are
continually screened for proper placement. Competitive
gymnastics as a team sport is also a part of our mission and
is available to all who demonstrate the skill and
determination to participate. |

WHO
WE ARE...The Staff of Gymnastics Unlimited
is made up of highly skilled individuals dedicated to making
your child's experience a successful and meaningful one. They
regularly attend seminars and conferences as a means of
keeping current with latest teaching methods and procedures.
Several members of the staff have been a part of GU for more
than 25 years, first as students and later as teachers. Each
has been safety certified by the United States Gymnastics
Safety Association and are Red Cross CPR and First Aid
Certified.
Kathleen
McCormick, Director of GU, has been a
gymnast, coach, and director for more than 35 years. She was
an Elite Gymnast at Southern Illinois University and competed
in several national collegiate championships. In addition to
her training here, she studied in the Soviet Union and is a
certified instructor on acrosport trampoline for levels I &
II. She is member of the Board of Directors of the
Jersey
Optional Gymnastics Association and
the Hunterdon
County Chamber of Commerce. Gymnastics
Unlimited is a member of the United States Gymnastics
Association, the New Jersey Gymnastics Association,
the Jersey Optional Gymnastics Association, and the
United States Gymnastics Safety Association. |
